About Me

I am the daughter of a Diabetes Specialist Nurse and a retired New York State Trooper. I was born in the United States of America, where I spent my early childhood years in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania. After the atrocities of 9/11, my family and I  relocated to the United Kingdom. I have lived and been educated in these two places, and consider them both my home. Once I decided to pursue a career as an Interior designer, I felt as though London  was the ideal place to be. For its iconic, Art culture. Being an African American with West Indian heritage, raised in both the United States and the United Kingdom, I feel as though it has given me a unique perspective, and has influenced my character and work ethic.

Why Interior Design ?

My early exposure to Interior design was established through a grandfather who was a builder. Also, an Uncle who is a contractor and seeing the portfolio of work he has accomplished.  An appreciation for the creative construction of spatial design; along with my natural love for art, was the inspiration for my career journey into interior design. I have recently completed an interior design Ba (Hons) degree. Interior design is a field which ultimately is influenced by creative thinking, in conjunction with the ability to envision a space’s potential. I not only want, but believe this journey will enable me to grow, connect, and innovate creations with professional interior designers.

Lifes Joy's

I enjoy being creative, there are a few platforms that I feel give me complete freedom.  I particularly enjoy painting, creative writing and photography. As it allows me to express myself with little or no limitation. I also enjoy time by myself, having said that I am not a loner, I do enjoy socializing and consider myself very personable. However, time alone allows me to reflect on goals and organize my thoughts.  I feel as though traveling is a wonderful experience, seeing a new place, hearing new sounds, tasting new foods. especially when life gets a little stagnant, changing scenery can be very refreshing.
